Manaslu Circuit, Deng to Namrung

Carved stone in Mani Wall

Thursday 15th October 2015.

Early morning view

Today we are walking from Deng (1800m) to Namrung (2660m).

Flower garden at the Deng Tea shop

The owner of the place we stayed last night was a bit of a character (and a bit of a gardener too).

The Miller's Daughter

Thanks to the rain of the last few days, this water powered mill was working well.

Carved stone in Mani Wall

Now that we have got closer to Tibet, we are starting to see a few Mani walls and other Bhuddist symbols.

Working in the field

Although we are still seeing earthquake damage, life goes on and farming continues.

How do they get there?

Even in the most unlikely places!

Only three more hours!

A total of about seven to eight hours on the trail today.

Weird cloud formation, will it rain again?

Although it was a fine day weather-wise, once again, the clouds came in towards the end of the day.

Namrung new build, slightly incongruous

Namrung looks like a place that's gearing up for more tourism, let's hope they get it.
